Theory Meets Practice

Interdisciplinary approaches to master a smart future

The world is increasingly moving together. Small individual issues can turn into great challenges and global issues, waiting for us to be solved. The developing countries and economies for example demand technical and economic growth. However, the side effects aggravated by continuing global population growth would be, for instance, more environmental pollution and hunger crises. Therefore, concerted action is needed to promote innovation in science and business.

We request a smarter future and a smarter future demands of us to think about the increasing complexity of issues. An integral part of finding solutions is the cooperation between people from different fields of study.

What are the challenges? How does theory meet practice?

As students of the Dresden University of Technology we will shed light on those questions from different perspectives: technology, economics, business and psychology. The presenters of our conference will give talks from the perspective of their own field of study about how these challenges are met and where the expertise from different disciplines and thus cooperation is most needed.

Everyone interested is warmly welcome to join our conference. We especially invite our fellow students, post graduates, alumni, professors and teachers.
